my first game had a soundtrack mostly from published songs too but if you can get a few folks on board you could make an entirely original soundtrack (i know a few people and theres some here such as myself that could help out) or get some licensed shit off of bandcamp like hotline miami did, its important that you can convey like the mood in a scene without compromise to any artistic direction and either way you feel like you can do that either through an ost or like using songs from your playlist(s) go for it

i made like a demo for the otx rpg becuase i got some expensive as fuck sound system for my guitar that plugs directly into pc could do some edgy riffs and shit

Yeah i made a few tracks too that never got recognized because dogman is a stupid nigger rug that can't finish a game



probably the best ones out of the bunch ^

theres also some battle themes like these two but i personally dont like them and wouldnt use them because i remember the strained production of them
one of the few cases where the musicality is better than the sound design because i cant make music this linear anymore, even then, one of the biggest problems is the sheer repitition and lack of deviancy from the melody

These are fucking dope, i really enjoy the atmosphere you build in these.

One of my absolute GOATs is Pathologic, a very ruskie psychological horror game
Trailer doesn’t show off how the dialogue works but gameplay videos of this game are LONG

that was largely what Demonic Jukebox was though it wasnt mostly metal
I wish I could make music like I did before really, i need to get back into jamming out with folks to really break the mold again

he is characterized by the full, complete, and thorough understanding of why everything he does is morally bankrupt and in violation of the laws of nature, because the sympathetic antagonist trope is so overrated

i feel you. every time i try to find someone to jam with it's turned out poorly, which makes honing collaborative music skills very difficult
